Keynote Speaker:

Daniel J. Koren

Daniel J. Koren

Daniel and Leanne Koren are the committed parents of six children whom they educate on their homestead in rural Missouri. Daniel and Leanne both enjoyed being homeschooled in Pentecostal pastors’ homes. Beginning first as best friends at young ages, Daniel and Leanne discovered the joys of courtship instead of dating long before it became a popularized concept.

Daniel has served as a UPC Pastor at Living Springs Fellowship in Neosho, Mo. fourteen years. With an English degree emphasizing Creative Writing, Daniel has written numerous articles, lessons, devotions, and books, including Devotions with Dad. A student of the Bible, he is pursuing his Master’s degree at Urshan Graduate School of Theology.

Leanne is a master at bringing out flavor in the kitchen and an avid student of healthful eating and natural healing. Their children range from 20 months to 16 years and have learned all sorts of real-world skills such as animal raising, construction, horticulture, and helping in the church. This matched set of three boys and three girls are reaping the rewards of learning how to study areas of their own interests.

The Korens’ life philosophy centers on pursuing the simpler side of life, enjoying family as God designed it, and growing in relationship with Him. In a world obsessed with money and success, this family has found value in flexibility, community, and prioritizing what God values. In spite of the changing demands of an increasingly technological society, ungodly societal influences, and shifting trends within the church, they look forward to what God will do through the next generation of trained-up young people.
